The TMI October 31, 2021

We are moved and I have never been more exhausted.

Last week we got to walk inside our dream. We broke ground on a house late June and after months of dreaming and planning, and weeks of packing and organizing, we are finally living in it. Literally, this house is a dream come true. My life tends to vacillate from one extreme to the other. Right now it's in the major upswing pattern and after a few years of the pain train, this is a welcome respite. I am so happy and grateful for this little piece of heaven we get to call home. If you've followed my George Hamilton dining room staining saga, this is the finished product. Not quite the right color, but also not orange and I'm too tired to do anything else with it.

Currently watching:

Maid on Netflix. What a dive into the world of emotional and financial abuse and the lengths a mother is willing to go to save her daughter from another generation. If you have ever heard the words, but he doesn't beat me, and never knew what they meant, this show will bring it home. Andi McDowell shines in her role as Alex's mother. It's an incredible series.

Currently reading:

Less by Andrew Sean Greer. Just finished this and the ending is so beautiful it will break your heart. I understand why it was given a Pulitzer Prize. It comes together in the most beautiful way and is so fresh with storytelling that when you finally figure it out you can't stop thinking about the way all the fibers of this story were woven together with purpose. It took me a long time to get through it, but was worth it. Check out the Books Worth Reading Blog for My Favorite Reads.

Currently Writing:

Better Than Before is in the final second draft stages. I am behind schedule. The move derailed my plans, but I am committed to wrap it up this week. I also begin a full time job, so I am trying to give myself some grace while I adjust to my new more vigorous schedule.

P.S. If you've read one of my books, can you help a struggling new author out? Reviews are gold and help me reach more people. Please take a minute and tell me (and other readers) what you thought. You can review on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, KOBO, and Apple Books or at any other bookseller. It's even better if you copy and paste the review to multiple places. More reviews=More visibility. You can write as much or as little as you want and I would be forever in your debt.
