HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I LOVE the new year. It is an opportunity to shut the door to the past, and move forward with hope and anticipation. I spent it in bed, as I'm the sickest I've been in two years. I'm fighting the urge to lay in bed and rest vs. pushing through and writing the minimum daily word goal I set for the year. Maybe after a shower and a thick layer of Vick's vapor rub on my feet, I will push through. Or maybe I will listen to my body and rest. Decisions, decisions.

Anyway, I have been thinking over an important question over the last two weeks and I want to share it with you.

What if EVERYTHING went right for you in 2023? What would your life look like?

This is a powerful exercise in visualization, and one I hope you undertake for yourself. It is time to create the grandest vision of the life you want to live. In your dream state, what does your life look like in these areas?

  1. You   (Body/Mind/Emotions)
  2. Relationships    (Love/Family/Friends)
  3. Money    (Career/Investments)
  4. Quality of Your Day to Day Life

Take some time today and give yourself the gift of creating a future that you find thrilling. Then go a step further and write in detail what your ideal day looks like, from the moment you wake up to the last moment before you fall asleep. Then review it every morning while you drink your coffee. It will change your life.

Flint Town on Netflix. A documentary about poverty, racism and policework through the eyes of the blue. Told through the eyes of many officers of color you get a real feel for the challenges they face putting their lives at risk daily. 

Currently Reading: The It Girl by Ruth Ware

This was a decent read, but not one of Ruth Ware's best. Writing thrillers is hard because you have to make them twisty and shock readers in order to gain popularity. It was a 4 out of 5 for me.
