The Pacific Northwest is a DREAM!

As a child of the '80s, no movie captured my imagination quite like The Goonies. It ignited a dream to one day see Haystack Rock in person, and last week, I finally made that dream a reality.

The Oregon coast is absolutely breathtaking—every bit as picturesque as Scotland, yet more accessible. I've completely fallen in love with it. We explored tide pools, indulged in incredible food, and I reset my 'beach clock' with countless barefoot walks along the ocean's edge. Now, a new dream has taken root: to one day own a piece of this magical coastline, where I can spend my summers writing novels from my tiny house. With a little luck, maybe my books will help turn that dream into reality.

Travel inspires my writing. 

Travel fuels my creativity like nothing else. Some of my most transformative personal breakthroughs have come when I’ve completely unplugged and immersed myself in a new place. Oregon is no exception—you can definitely expect it to inspire future stories.

This is a gripping thriller from an Iowan author, and I loved the familiar backdrop. She skillfully weaves together three compelling plot lines, keeping you hooked throughout. The ending could have used a bit more finesse, as it felt a little drawn out, but overall, it's a solid and enjoyable read.
