Books by Womens Fiction Author Blair Bryan
I pulled the plug on "Treehouses with a Teenager" and it has crushed my soul. Imagine spending a year of your life toiling away on a project only to throw it all away? In an effort to keep details of my children's lives out of the public eye, the book hit an unfortunate note that was confusing and without a lot of private details, it didn't resonate with my alpha readers the way I hoped it would.

After a lot of agonizing, I have decided not to publish it at all and I wasn't prepared for the feelings of failure this huge setback would unleash. "Scotland with a Stranger" brought a stream of judgement about my own actions by sharing intimate details of my life that I am unwilling to expose my kids to. I asked for it, but they didn't. It's a devastating loss and I am reeling.

Currently Watching:

Sins of the Mother on Netflix is a deeper dive into the "Mommy Doomsday" Podcast we loved so much this summer. It's a binge-able 3 hours long, that will leave your mouth agape.

Currently Reading:

The Midnight Library. This book is a gem that makes you think about regrets in a novel way. The main character, Nora is depressed and makes a fateful decision to end her life and finds herself in the Midnight Library, an alternative universe where all her unlived lives are stored. It's a thought provoking read that sticks with you.  (Affiliate link alert. If you buy from this link, I earn a few pennies for this recommendation and you get a great book.)

Currently Writing:

On Hiatus. I queried an agent, and I am hoping to hear about the Alaskan writer in residence program soon. I am working on a couple different projects, but none of them have actual deadlines. Self-publishing has been a series of door slams lately and I am not sure what's next. I am going to let the universe decide and stop the striving.

P.S. If you've read one of my books, can you help an author on the quest to become a New York Times Bestseller out? Reviews are gold and help me reach more people. Please take a minute and tell me (and other readers) what you thought. You can review on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, KOBO, and Apple Books or at any other bookseller. It's even better if you copy and paste the review to multiple places. More reviews=More visibility. You can write as much or as little as you want and I would be forever in your debt.
